How to edit a video from your gallery on TikTok

If you want to edit a video that you have already recorded on your phone, you must do the following: First, open the recording screen by clicking on the “+” symbol located at the bottom center of the screen. Once the recording screen opens, click on the “Upload” square located to the right of the main button. Then, select the video of your choice and tap “next”. After that, select the section that you want to record from the chosen video - you can change the playback speed and orientation of the video. If you want to add another video, repeat the same steps and when you are finished, click next. On this next screen, you can use the video editing tools related to sound, subtitles and filters. When you are finished, click next and post your video.

How to Edit a Video on TikTok Using Photos

Now we’ll show you how to edit a video on the app using photos: TikTok has a feature called “MV” that offers different animation styles. When you open the recording screen, you should click on the “MV” tab located at the bottom of the screen and select your animation style. Click on “try” and when you’ve chosen the photos you want, click on “ok”. On the next screen, you’ll have access to editing tools for sound, captions and filters. Use whatever you need and then click on “next”. Now just write a caption for your video, choose the cover photo and publish it.
