With over 370 km of tracks and 13 lines, the São Paulo metro system was created in the 1970s. Line 4 - Yellow

Connecting Luz station to Vila Sônia station, this line runs through 11 stations. In addition to the two mentioned, it passes through República, Higienópolis - Makenzie, Paulista, Oscar Freire, Fradique Coutinho, Faria Lima, Pinheiros, Butantã and finally, São Paulo - Morumbi.

It integrates with the Green, Red and Jade lines. The two stations located in the Center and through which the Yellow line passes are Luz and República.

Light

Access A must be made via Av. Casper Líbero, No. 598 and access B via Rua Brigadeiro Tobias, No. 700. Line 1 Blue also passes through this street. It operates every day from 4:40 am to midnight.

Republic

With opening hours also from 4:40 am to midnight, this station has one of its entrances located at number 229, in Praça da República, in the neighborhood of the same name, in the center of the capital.

The second access is on Rua do Arouche, on the corner with Rua Pedro Américo.

Line 1 - Blue

The largest and oldest in the city, it runs through 23 stations and connects with the Orange, Ruby, Yellow, Red, Green and Lilac lines. The stations located in the city center and part of the Blue line are Luz and São Bento.

Saint Benedict

It is the 10th station in the North-South direction of the city and the main entrance is at Largo São Bento, number 109 - Historic Center of São Paulo. However, it has five other entrances: another one at Largo São Bento, one at Ladeira Porto Geral, one at Vale do Anhangabaú level, one at Rua São Bento and another at Rua Boa Vista.

Light

Line 3 - Red

It runs through 18 stations and is the busiest, because it connects the eastern and western areas of the capital - the latter being the most populated. It is estimated that around 450 million passengers travel on the line annually.

It was considered the station with the highest circulation of people on a working day in 2021, in the entire capital of São Paulo: 335 thousand passengers in a single day.

It is located at number 200, in Praça da Sé, in the Historic Center of São Paulo. The entrance is also on Rua Anita Garibaldi.

Anhangabau

It is located in the República neighborhood, without a number, Centro. Access is on Rua Formosa and Avenida 23 de Maio, without a number.

Republic

With opening hours also from 4:40 am to midnight, this station has one of its entrances located at number 229, in Praça da República, in the neighborhood of the same name, in the center of the capital.

Saint Cecilia

This has access at Conselheiro Nébias, 1039 - Campos Elíseos, in Largo de Santa Cecília.
