Required documents
All these documents must be taken to the registry office at least 60 days before the date you intend to get married:
CPF, RG or CNH, birth certificate and the presence of two witnesses over 18 years of age and identification document
If one of the spouses is divorced , it is also necessary to bring the marriage certificate with the divorce endorsement and proof of the division of assets.
If one of the two is a widower, a marriage certificate, death certificate and inventory are required.
Thus, the marriage license will be issued, which after officialization will be used to issue the certificate.
Remember that if you are getting married first in a religious ceremony, the civil union must take place no later than 90 days later.
